Tuesday, October 25th, 2011 Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011 Bill here from Bill's Books. I just wanted to drop you all a line to let you know about 2 upcoming events at the shop this week. First off, we are having our annual Hall Of Fame Sale starting this Wednesday and we are going to run it all the way to Saturday. With no football game this year due to the strike (Boo Hoo) I don't know what type of crowd we'll see this year from out of towners. I extended the sale to give you regulars a chance to shop first just in case we get hit on Saturday with visitors looking for something to do in between festivities. Secondly, we would like to welcome our friend Aaron Archer, Vice President of Intellectual Property Development at Hasbro, to the shop this Wednesday. Aaron's resume is extensive in regards to the G.I. Joe and Transformers toy lines from Kenner/Hasbro as well as past projects such as Star Wars and their Total Justice DC Super Hero figure line. Aaron also has consulting credits for both the G.I. Joe and Transformer animated series on TV as well as credits for the 3 Transformers movies and the IDW Comic lines for both series. Pleae stop by and say hello and get an autographed Transformers toy poster signed by Aaron. Aaron will be in the store from approximately 2pm to 5pm. Friday, April 24th, 2011 My apologies for going so long without an update to the front page of the site. But we have a big announcement to make as Free Comic Book Day is less than 2 weeks away!! Be sure to stop into Bill's Books & More on Saturday, May 7th, for Free Comic Book Day! Not only will you be able to get some great free comics but we will also be having a huge store sale and very special guest artist Darryl Banks! The following items will be on sale: Also Darryl will be at the store from 12pm - 5pm doing free autographs, $40 sketches, and selling his prints for $10. Friday, December 24th, 2010 Just wanted to take a moment to wish all of our customers a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Also please note that our store hours are adjusted for the Holidays. On both Christmas Eve and New Years's Eve the store will be open from 11am - 3pm. The store will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. All other hours will be normal and we will have new books next Wednesday. I have also added a flyer to the Upcoming Events page with that shows all the Harper shows for next year.  Wednesday, October 6th, 2010 Just a reminder to everyone about the big sale that is currently going on at the store today through Saturday: We are also pleased to announce that artist Darryl Banks will be appearing in the store this Saturday, October 9th, from 11am - 5pm. Banks is perhaps best known for his run on Green Lantern (Vol. 3), which ran from issue 50 till 142. Along with co-creating Kyle Rayner, he's responsible for designing costumes for Parallax, Grayven, Fatality, Dr. Polaris, and Dr. Light.
